2022, 02 25: use python? Basically no, unless what you’re doing is quite lightweight (visual novels, 2D RPGs, virtual board games, etc). There’s languages very similar to Python that ARE quite good for game programming, namely GDScript for the Godot engine. Neither Unreal Engine nor Unity support something so python-y, but Unreal Engine has its own weird scripting language available as a plugin called Skookumscript. It’s extremely simple and terse, with most code files I’ve seen being no longer than 10 lines. It’s crazy fast (faster than even nativized blueprints), specifically built to make writing many harder, over-time game code much easier to write, and is basically designed to be a glue language; stringing the 1000 or so engine operations together to do interesting things in hilariously tiny amounts of code. Pygame is nice for 2D games and pyOpenGl is the wrapper around openGl ( C++ ) if you still want to code in Python. Conclusion, if you are learning game development and programming you should use python as you can ignore some of the Programming basics and focus on Game Math and Logic. But when you feel like you have learnt enough you should go on and learn C#( Unity ) or Java( Android ) or C++ for game development. C++ is considered to be one of the most powerful, fastest, and toughest programming languages. It can be used for a variety of purposes and carries out the same efficient and robust programs. With C++, programmers can easily work on different programming styles. Should I learn C++ or Unity? C++ is a good thing to learn if you're planning to work outside of Unity or want to develop native plugins. If you plan to stay in Unity or just want an easier language to learn first then C# is the way to go. Nothing else is worth your time unless you have a very specific reason. Learn C#C#C#C#C#C#C#C#C#C#C#C# !!!!

When Vecna was defeated during his bid for control of Oerth, Kas was freed from his centuries of imprisonment, only to find himself facing a shapeless wall of mist. When it cleared, he was master of the domain of Tovag, across the Burning Peaks from Vecna's domain of Cavitius. Kas waged an endless war of attrition with Vecna's forces in the hopes of retrieving the Sword of Kas from Vecna's citadel, where he erroneously believed Vecna held it. When Vecna escaped from Cavitius, both realms were destroyed. Kas was caught up in the destruction and very nearly obliterated; he survives only as a vestige, a soul outside time and space whose powers can be used by binders.
